Marathon Weekend: October 8–11
- Street closures across the course reshape downtown movement for most of race day. A fifteen-minute route can become impossible
- Race-morning pickups are early — runners need to reach the start before closures lock in
- The expo at McCormick Place runs in the days before, adding its own traffic
- Airport transfers spike Sunday evening and Monday morning as runners fly home
- Hotels across the Loop, River North and South Loop fill, and curb access near the course is limited
